“What printer will work for both my laptop windows 7 and desktop windows 8? I have a H I am looking for an "all in one" printer to use at my home. Small business and some pics of the grands. I need it to work on windows 7 and 8 (new desktop). Hardwire is fine as my laptop is working wireless out in my shop and the printer will be for my computer. The HP Officejet 8600 works very well. I have windows 8 on my desktop and windows 7 on my laptop. Just install the printer software to your desktop and follow instructions to connect the printer to your wireless network. Then go to control panel on your laptop and click to add a printer. Just be sure that you choose the option to add a printer that is on the network. You may have to put the printer software CD into your laptop to install extra drivers (due to the different OS). That should do it :-)
