Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Rick, I am sorry that you are having a slow connection experience on your HP Omen laptop! The wi-fi interface in it is Wi-fi 6E standard, which is the 802.11ax standard. You may need to test using different connections or even different frequencies of wi-fi to see if it is the interface itself or the connection type. Wi-fi 6E can operate at the 2.4, 5, or 6GHz wi-fi bands. Interference within a certain band can slow down access speeds. Even an outdated router can keep a current-model wi-fi receiver from reaching its maximum speed. If these are not the issue, then you can swap out the wi-fi adapter or call HP Support (Geek Squad if you're a member) and request a warranty claim on the wi-fi interface.

You can probably change out the WiFi card--they usually just use a standard NVMe connector (though not the same capacity as the SSD!). You can also add an external adapter, or use the Ethernet port. But before you go through all that, you might try some troubleshooting, like testing other devices (such as your cellphone) at the same site, moving the laptop closer to the router, removing physical obstacles, etc.
