Based on some youtube videos, you may be able to upgrade the RAM up to 32 GBs. I'm not sure about that though.

You can definitely upgrade the RAM. HP's Omen line of laptops are made so that the RAM and storage can easily be upgraded. It has 2 slots for RAM and can easily be removed. I just opened mine to add a Samsung 960 EVO M.2 NVMe SSD and you can see that it is easy to remove the RAM. I will upload a picture of the internals and you can see the RAM is very accessible. It will be on the visible in the middle, slightly right side.
