A:AnswerLife expectancy of any new PC is about 6 months since it loses initial value quickly. Today worth $1,000 and in 6 months worth $800 and 1 year later worth $600 and 2 years worth $400 and 3 years worth $200 after 4 years it is worthless. Okay .. Life expectancy has many variables. How often is it used and by whom? Will there be Over Clocking of the CPU, memory and GPU as stress, heat will affect the life of these components. No one knows for sure as much depends on quality of the parts. Like anything, you take care of it, it will last much longer. Most PC's last 4 to 8 years but after 5 years or maybe a bit sooner, technology has changed enough it'll be time to get a new PC.
A:AnswerMy suggestion is to purchase this HP desktop when priced below $800. Cause it isn't worth much more than that. DIY "do it yourself" Builds are so much better and generally you save a few hundred dollars plus you determine all the components for future upgrade ability . Pre- manufactured systems always need a change to make it better. The HP Edoras motherboard is very basic and low end and the 500 Watt power supply only capable of minimal upgrades to your new system. HP should of installed a better motherboard and at least a 750 Watt power supply. I never liked bare bones stuff or low end made products. Of course that is my opinion.
A:AnswerThe video card in this computer is not certified for Solidworks or AutoCAD. You will need a workstation video card in order of it to be certified. Look up Nvidia Quadro or AMD Radeon Pro graphics cards for that. However, this would run Solidworks and AutoCAD, it just wouldn't be the optimal setup to work with it on a day to day basis.
A:AnswerYou most likely meant this exact PC with these specs. The Omen Obelisk series has been out for a while. However, this version with the i7 9700 and GTX 1660 Ti is a new release for this year. The 9th generation Intel processors were released in April 2019, so I'm imagining this version of the Obelisk came out shortly afterwards.
