“can another monitor be used in place of the one that comes with labtop? I presently have a Gateway 19" monitor that came with my desktop. Would like to use it on new computer. Is this possible?”

• Yes, the laptop can be connect to an external monitor via the HDMI port.

• It does have and HDMI connection so you could plug in an HDMI cable from this laptop to your Gateway monitor if it is HDMI compatible.

• Yes, depending on the ports that are on your HP laptop and the Gateway monitor, you may need to get some converters such as a HDMI to VGA or VGA to DVI. If you bring your Gateway monitor into Geek Squad, they should be able to show you exactly what kind of cord you need to hook it up. But in short, yes it is possible for you to use your Gateway monitor with this computer.
