• Yes and Yes. I use a faster USB wifi interface. be sure to turn off the internal wifi to prevent interference.

• You can buy an A/C adapter for a USB slot. They are tiny and work well. Downfall is one of your USB ports is now used. Windows can bridge both of the receivers and the speed is enhanced or you can simply disable the onboard receiver.

• You can buy an external USB wifi card but you dont have to turn off the onboard. You dont have to use the onboard to connect to the wifi network, just use the usb one. If you are having wifi issues with the onboard card, i found that connecting the power to the laptop makes the wifi work normally.
