There is no dongle in the box, not needed for this PC. That spot in the box will always be empty. You do not need to plug anything in for the mouse / keyboard. I just put batteries in both keyboard and mouse (turned mouse on) and booted up the computer. Everything connected. If it's like other All-in-one's I've taken apart, the 2.4ghz dongle is actually inside the PC. It's not Bluetooth. If you're still having problems, try taking out the batteries and re-inserting them after the PC boots. Make sure the flat end of the battery is at the spring end of the compartment. Try different batteries if you haven't. When I turn on the mouse there is a white indicator on the bottom that lights up for a few seconds - at least you can tell you have power then. No indicators on the keyboard though.
