• I agree. I have the same problem. I hate it being on its side too. Makes it more difficult to put the CD in and take it out. For as much as this computer cost, They really cheapened things, like the CD player door and the mouse.

• Typically modern CD drives are a spring loaded type where you push a button and it pops out and then you slide it back in until it clicks shut.
