YES, you can use two monitors. I have been using two monitors with my HP 690-0010 for a year now and it works very well. I have one connected to the HDMI port and one connected to the Display Port. I worked out no problem with no special adjustments. I'm not a techie at all either. I don't remember what software came with it though
