Excellent question! Whenever a computer is listed as having a full version of Microsoft Office that means that no additional purchase is required - everything is pre-installed onto the computer. If a computer is listed as having a trial version, however, that means that you would need to purchase a product key or retail copy of the program after the trial period has expired. In most cases, this trial period is between 60 and 90 days.

More then likely it'll be a trial period where you'll need to purchase it after. If you're not in a situation where you are required to use Microsoft Office you could check out Open Office, which is free.
