ON THE PAVILLION SLIMLINE THE DVD DRIVE IS ON THE FRONT SIDEWAYS AND, ALTHOUGH I WAS SKEPTICAL, EASY TO USE. I AM ONLY AN INTERMEDIATE USER BUT SO FAR I HAVE FOUND MY 4GB-500GB HARD DRIVE MODEL GREAT.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. The 1TB drive is twice the capacity of the 500GB drive (more or less;the manufacturers fudge the math). Depending on the sales at any given time, it may be cheaper to buy a computer with lower hard drive space and RAM and upgrade those yourself, sell off the components it came with and have what you want for less than from the manufacturer. But if you're not comfortable with that, then just pay upfront. I believe the next unit up also has a faster CPU so that is definitely worth it. The DVD drive is in the front behind a swing out door and is installed vertically. The door is spring loaded and opens/closes with the tray.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. The 1TB hard drive will give you 500GB more space than the 500GB hard drive will.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. One TB is twice the capacity of 500 GB. I just transferred my music and photo collections to this PC and still have over 360 GB left. Whether you need the space depends on how much music, video, and photos you want to put on the computer. The single CD/DVD drive is in the front - top/left if the computer is up on an edge with "Pavilion" reading left to right.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.1 Tb is double 500 gb
