A:AnswerIf you purchase the unit with Windows 10 in S mode, printer drivers can only be downloaded from Microsoft store (or other stores approved by MS if they ever allow). Unfortunately many older printer models are no longer supported, as a result an approved driver for an older printer might not be available for downloading. Some printer manufacturers (such as HP and Epson) have developed “generic” Win10 drivers that support multiple older printers, but typically don’t support all functionality of a specific printer. When you initially attach your printer to a USB port, WIn10 will attempt to locate the most compatible driver and then start the download automatically. If no driver is available the printer will show in the Devices/Printer screen as “not supported” or similar.
Currently, the only possible way to support an outdated printer is to take Win10 out of S mode. This process is not reversible, and typically not advisable for a novice user. Dropping S mode also drops the security of only executing tested and approved software. In other words, it opens the possibility of acquiring malicious software even if accidental and/or unbeknownst. If that’s not enough to stop you, you cannot be assured the computer and Win10 will be able to support the driver until after switching off S mode and attempting to load the driver. At that point there’s no turning back (without loading a completely new version of Win10).
Maybe not what you want to read, but one might be best served by replacing an older printer to go along with a new computer rather than dropping S mode. Virtually all new printers on the market today have an approved driver available via Microsoft’s automatic download portal.
A:AnswerI recommend googling the material of the keyboard. To me it feels like typical plastic keyboard buttons but with good feedback. There is also a review of this laptop on youtube that can give you a better idea of the specs.
A:AnswerHi, thank you for bringing this to HP's attention. We apologize for this oversight on Best Buy's listing. In the unlikely event that the Pavilion 11M-AP0013DX laptop fails, HP's standard warranty (under normal use) is one year from the original date of purchase - for parts and labor.
A:AnswerThanks for your question. This would be great for schoolwork. You can play Minecraft on this with a lower graphics setting. This is not a gaming computer. Check the Game specs (requiremements) for any other games.
A:AnswerThis unit has 3 USB ports; 1 type C and 2 type A; all 3 are rated at USB 3, but the C port is rated slightly faster than the A ports. If you’re unfamiliar with the USB port letters, the C port is a mini slot, typical of some (but not all) cell phones. The A port is the legacy slot you’re used to seeing with printer cables and similar.
All 3 USB ports will support a wired mouse.
This unit also has Bluetooth. As long as they are compatible, a BT mouse can be supported without using one of the USB slots. The BT mouse will need to be mated to the computer’s BT receiver, so follow the directions in the user’s guide to attach a BT mouse.
A:AnswerHello Chihai! That’s a great question. It appears that the HP Pavilion x360 2-in-1 11.6” (11M-AP0013DX) does have a built-in webcam along with a microphone built-in too! The name of the webcam is - HP Wide Vision HD Camera with integrated dual array digital microphone.
A:AnswerGreat question ----. The HP 11M-AP0013DX is not recommended for playing Roblox. The CPU Speed is under the required specifications. These specifications are listed on Roblox’s website. If you were to play Roblox on this PC, it may run. In the case that you do play Roblox on this model, it will feel similar to a PowerPoint slide show.
A:AnswerHi Austin! You would probably want a computer with more power and more RAM for video editing software. Some video editing software requires 16GB of RAM memory to edit higher resolution videos.
A:AnswerYou'll certainly be able to run any of those things. Because the computer has 4 gigabytes of RAM, you probably won't be able to run a bunch of them at the same time.
