QuestionIs the loud fan noise consistently a problem for this computer? I cannot stand the loud fan noise. I am wondering if I exchange it for the same model if I will continue to have the same problem or if I would be better off exchanging for a different model?

- Answer Sincerely, the HP Pavilion is the worst laptop that I have ever seen in my professional career, I am a computer engineer and worked for the most well-known IT companies in the world (included Compaq/Hp) and never, I say never found any worst laptop quality than this one. Fan noise is heavy, laptop parts are pure plastic, keyboard keys move out after several months, touchpad mouse does not run nice as in other Dell or ASUS laptops... But specially FAN NOISE is amazing, I dissambled anc cleaned everything, (not any dust at all since the laptop was brand new), every few minutes a big noise like an airplane taking off, I installed all latest BIOS, drivers,... but the same.. I think Hp works hard to remove bad comments or links to any wrong review from the searchers in the web... No solution yet, unless you buy Dell...

QuestionWhat does the manufacturer's warranty cover for this? I don't want to spend $200 on a protection plan but I also want to make sure I'm protected in case it is a lemon

- Answer The HP warranty policy is ridiculous. If it breaks you have to ship it to HP to get it fixed. It takes 2-3 weeks before you will get it back. The fan bearings went out 3 weeks after I bought it. I had to buy a new computer to use so I can send it in to get fixed because I can't take 2 weeks off work while I wait for it. The $200 protection plan won't get you much either. Best Buy couldn't fix it quickly either, they said I would have to drop it off at a store so they could send it to their repair facility in another state.

QuestionHi, I purchased this laptop about a month ago, originally had to return the first one, now the second one is having similar issues with random sticky key activations? That then will turn itself back off and be fine? Anyone else have this issue?

- Answer Yes this model is ink compatible. I tried the stylus, didn't like it, anything I am likely to use it on right now works just as well with fingertip. Stylus is not included, runs about $79-99. The computer can be used as laptop, tented, or completely folded back and used as a tablet. You can set to automatically switch to tablet mode when in 360 position.

- Answer Yes. I just did. It is not easy as you need to take the laptop apart completely, but good news is it has two slots for RAM. Only one is populated with 2400 MHZ DDR4. So adding another 8 Gigs to the empty slot will give you 16 dual channel. It is great if you are planning to upgrade. Most laptops with * gigs cone with two sticks of 4 Gigs forcing you to buy 2 sticks of 8 gigs if you want 16 total. Having one 8 gig was great news for me. Before you upgrade, make sure warranty is not voided. or let an authorized tech do it.

- Answer Hello and thank you for your question! This computer exceeds the minimum specs needed to run all the popular image editiors. With the ability to use a digital pen with the screen, you can get very creative with your editing! I would say that unless you are editing large images (billboards?) that you should have no issues at all knocking out those tasks on this laptop!

- Answer Yes, this laptop has an empty space for a 2.5 HD or SSD. The 128 SSD that comes with it is using the M.2 interface. In other markets the M.2 is empty and they come with a 1 TB HDD.

- Answer Click on the 'battery' tab near the bottom right hand side of the screen. Once you click there is should bring up the battery life remaining power and what mode battery mode it is in, once you see that you'll see a box in that near the lower left that should say either 0%, 25%, 50%, 75%, or 100% .... you can toggle through all of those by clicking on the box to change them. If this does not work or you cannot see this, I would recommend going to your windows tab on the lower left or the notifications tab on the far right hand side and going to settings and "screens and appearances" or something to that extent and you will see the options to change the levels there. Hope this helped.
