A:AnswerGood question. This computer has very strong, metal hinges. It is just as sturdy, if not sturdier than a traditional laptop.
I hope this helps.
A:AnswerI am sorry you are experiencing problems. You may need to update drivers on your laptop. The easiest way to update all the necessary drivers is to use the HP Support Assistant program that is already installed on your computer.
I hope this helps.
A:AnswerGood question. Unfortunately, the RAM is not expandable on this model. The memory slot is not user accessible. For more detailed specs, please visit the following link:

A:AnswerNo, this monitor is not detachable, however the units screen does rotate around to become a tablet. However if you still want a detachable keyboard HP does make a Tablet model called the Spectre 360 X2 which is embedded with LTE through Verizon and runs windows 10. I own both of these and they perform very well.
Hope this helped
A:AnswerIt really depends on what they plan on installing on this unit, if they were planning on installing games that require you to install a master file folder on the C drive then this probably would not be the laptop for them, however there are USB 3.0 slots for external storage as well as an SD card reader so if all they are doing is installing office and basic software applications then this should do fine for them, this computer has all the bells and whistles, it's light and compact so taking it to class will be no problem.
Hope this helped
