It got pretty hot when I was downloading VisualStudio. I can't explain in degrees, but I kept my palm under the left side since it was COLD in NY in my bedroom. It helped me to warm up my hands..haha. Since Its aluminium/metal case, it cools down pretty fast. On normal browsing, 3 IE windows, 4-5 Chrome windows, Had visual studio open and coding. It was very slightly warm. I guess it only heats up to that degree when you are downloading, installing, and doing photoshop/video edits. Average, normal usage, it should be very light warm. Also it could have been that I had it charging while downloading VisualStudio. Overall you shouldnt experience that unless doing heavy duty lifting.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. The bottom of the keyboard (under your fingers) does not get warm at all. The bottom of the laptop does get a little warm but not to the point where it feels uncomfortable. The fan hardly turns on to be honest.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. No problems in the month I have had it with it getting hot, like my children had with their Asus computers. When using as a tablet for hours it did not get hot either, or when used as a laptop.
