Best Buy gets HP laptops with specific model numbers that other manufacturers don't get. Same with Dell laptops. I'm not certain why they do it, but I suspect it is so you can't comparison shop. Most retailers offer a price match guarantee on the same product, but since nobody sells the same HP or Dell product that Best Buy does, and vice-versa, nobody has to honor any price match guarantees. Manufacturers do it with mattresses too. A Certa at Sams Club is not going to be the same model number as the EXACT SAME MATTRESS at Costco, or a furniture store. Every retailer gets their own model numbers.
