“How would this laptop handle things like 3d CAD work (i.e. Solid works, Inventor ect...)? I intend on using this with Solidworks and am trying to decide between this and the samsung notebook 9 pro.”

You should look at the spec requirements of your software. The NVidia chip on this guy is far better than the intel chips you'll see in a lot of laptops but not as good as the NVIDIA chip that is in the Yoga 720. (similar price)

Please try again later.Just to an observation, trying the Samsung notebook 9 pro- its stylus is thin to the point that it is probably not comfortable like other pens in the market. And I kept pressing the eraser button on the pen all the time accidentally. I didn't have an issue with a bamboo ink though. Plus notebook 9 pro is heavier and thicker than the Asus if you are gonna do a lot of tablet mode and portability is your number one priority. Other than that specs- this should beat the notebook 9 pro with the i7 and 16 gigs RAM (esp helpful with multitasking)
