Nope - no extra room for a 2nd internal storage drive. This specific machine comes with a Samsung PM961 Polaris 512GB M.2 NGFF PCIe Gen3 x4, NVME Solid state drive SSD, OEM (2280) (MZVLW512HMJP-00000). If you go to the HP website you can configure the HP Spectre x360 with a 1TB M.2 PCle SSD. And the external SD card reader slot can accept any capacity SD card but don't be fooled by cheap versions of SD card vendors - stick with name brands and do your research.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. No, There's no space for an internal spinning disk. The SSD that comes with it is PCIe, not M.2. On mine, I bought a 512GB SD card for extra storage. The SD card slot is almost as deep as the card is long, so it only sticks out about as far as the volume buttons on an iphone stick out. If the SD card slot were any deeper, you'd have to use a tool to push it in so you could release and remove it, so I think the depth of the SD card slot is perfect. Now I have the 512GB SSD for the OS, and a 512GB SD card for storing music, photos and other things. The SD card is actually fast enough for me to run a Linux VMWare image without copying it to the SSD, with no problems and it uses far less power than a spinning disk would. The 512GB SD card was about $225, but if money is no object, they are making 1TB SD cards now. That'd give you a TON of extra storage while being very easy on the battery life. I also carry a 3TB external USB3 spinning drive that works great since this laptop's USB port is USB3; but I don't use it very often, other than transferring data (VMWare Virtual Machines) between computers.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. There is no extra slot. You can only upgrade the Nvme drive that is in there to a larger drive.
