Can you upgrade the ram? null

great question i will for you. ok. this one is 4 , 8gb the other is 16GB, most users have no use for 16GB. (unless doing high graphic rendering, or video editing, ) it no top gaming system by a mile. so not gaming. many sites, say the memory chips do not remove, (soldered down) some say yes, then say, new motherboard. at $500 the magic HP at word is ONBOARD<. this means in hp jargon, NO SOCKETS ON BOARD. the service ,manual is missing now, if true that ends my business with HP . heck even that is needed to dig out the battery then a p/n. missing too. sigh.
