A:Answer It really depends on what you consider "room shaking".
Onkyo's 695 Atmos receiver is very nice. It's main feature is the new Dolby Atmos sound format. It has enough power to fill a small home theater quite well. The speakers are nice, the sub is a bass reflex design (not my favorite). It will get loud but a little boomy.
Tactile "room shaking" is associated with lots of power in the lower frequencies...
The sub has 120 watt amp plenty for loudness... Not really enough for tactile sound though. You won't feel it!
If you want to feel the LFE you need power!
I wanted tighter bass for music and tactile bass for movies.
So...
I upgraded to two SVS NSD12 acoustic suspension subs that each have discreet 400 watt amps (RMS not peak! I believe peak is 800watts).
They have transformed this system from a "nice sound" into a serious ground rumbling, gut wrenching monster!
