    • Answer It really depends on what you consider "room shaking". Onkyo's 695 Atmos receiver is very nice. It's main feature is the new Dolby Atmos sound format. It has enough power to fill a small home theater quite well. The speakers are nice, the sub is a bass reflex design (not my favorite). It will get loud but a little boomy. Tactile "room shaking" is associated with lots of power in the lower frequencies... The sub has 120 watt amp plenty for loudness... Not really enough for tactile sound though. You won't feel it! If you want to feel the LFE you need power! I wanted tighter bass for music and tactile bass for movies. So... I upgraded to two SVS NSD12 acoustic suspension subs that each have discreet 400 watt amps (RMS not peak! I believe peak is 800watts). They have transformed this system from a "nice sound" into a serious ground rumbling, gut wrenching monster!

    • Answer Last year Model didn't support HDR ht-s7700 but this year model ht-s7800 does support hdr.

  • Questionis it possible to link the system to bluetooth speakers to replace the wired rear speakers?

    • Answer Well this is a fun but tricky question. To replace the speaker set up as far as the 5.1.2. The answer is NO. As far as the "Fire connect" technology in the receiver the answer is yes....BUT...only has other "zones". Not to replace the actual surround. Run to home depot and get some low profile cable rails. You can't even tell I'm running wiring along side my ceiling where it meets the wall. Very clean and professional looking if you don't want to make holes. Good luck! Mine will arrive in 2 weeks! They keep going in and out of stock :(. I own the 9700thx. This is for my other living room.
