Well this is a fun but tricky question. To replace the speaker set up as far as the 5.1.2. The answer is NO. As far as the "Fire connect" technology in the receiver the answer is yes....BUT...only has other "zones". Not to replace the actual surround. Run to home depot and get some low profile cable rails. You can't even tell I'm running wiring along side my ceiling where it meets the wall. Very clean and professional looking if you don't want to make holes. Good luck! Mine will arrive in 2 weeks! They keep going in and out of stock :(. I own the 9700thx. This is for my other living room.
