- Answer Yes it does. I haven't noticed mine blinking, but it most likely does. When the phone is on I get sounds for new texts, emails etc. You can control when you get a sound notification in the settings.

- Answer I am pretty sure it will, as Straight Talk is a GSM network. It will not work on CDMA networks such as Verizon, Sprint and Boost.
