Honestly, the specification speaks justice and truth about the Huawei Mate 9. I did extensive research about this and it definitely has met its promises. I have been Samsung user for 5 years and when i made the switch i was not disappointed. It’s a phenomenal device with great battery life ( 4000mAh), 4 GB of RAM, 64Gigs of internal storage with an option of expandable memory( micro SD card compatible) , 7.0 Nougat, and front camera 8 megapixel, 12- megapixel in the back along with 20 monochrome megapixel. Compare the specifications with other phones and you will see that the Mate 9 is best overall. Highly recommended.

I bought mine (open box, no less) having only read reviews and watched YouTube videos. Closest one on display for me would've added about $30 in gas to the price of the device so I rolled the dice and I haven't regretted it yet.

Hello,

I've had the Huawei Mate 9 for about 3 months. I posted a review on the phone - pretty disappointing overall. Main comments for a US user are:

1) Huawei has no authorized US service centres - if anything goes wrong with the phone it's a very expensive paperweight. Even in NYC (where I live) no one is able to service the volume buttons which broke within the first 2 months

2) Hisuite is a highly intrusive and buggy program. Good luck getting this phone to sync with anything on a laptop. Sync fine with Google, but not with anything on a PC.

3) Finally, and this doesn't matter where you are - speakers are underpowered, USB-C power port is imposssible to find, and battery life is c. 8 hours on light usage.
 
My advice is to stay away and go with a better platofrm product.
