Yes that is how I am currently using it, connected to the headphone out on the board.

Yes, when using a proper adapter (3.5mm to 1/4" TS), the iRig Pre will work great going to a Mixer/PA System. We have seen some Mixer/PA Systems work best with a D.I box. It's best to check with your device's user manual for this information.
