I have travelled all over the world with this sleeve over my MacBook. Most of the time, over 90%, I have left the sleeve ON, and it was Okay!!! Sometimes, rarely, security officers want you to switch on your device and take a look at the screen; in which case, of course, the sleeve has to come OFF. Hope this answers your question!!!

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I've never had a problem at airport security. Just put your MacBook in the bag and put it in its own bin when going through security.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes it is. I recently went through TSA in Raleigh, Newark, and Paris without any issues.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. If your question refers to airport checkpoints, I would say yes. There is no reason that this case shouldn't be able to pass through the X-ray machine, or be opened easily by TSA. The bright colors, too, should make it easy to keep track of on the conveyor belt, if that's an issue.
