QuestionIs there a grate cover on this model? My electrical is all open in the back and there was no grate to cover the “guts” on the backside. I called Insignia and their specs did not show any info. Due to COVID short supply, Best Buy has no model to check

QuestionWe purchased this unit as per the garage is the only available space. It's a one car garage it seems to be cooling ok! Do you think it would hurt the unit to use in the garage or have trouble cooling in the summer time where temps get 90's for 5-6 months

- Answer Each shelf has a lip that it sits on so if you put the shelf on the top lip you can get the full 26.5 in width. The shelves have varying depths, 16.5 in for the top 2 and 13.5 in for the middle. The bottom shelf is 18 in deep but to get the full depth you need to remove the bottom door shelf.

- Answer Yes. I had the same question and tested when we received. The refrigerator appears to maintain all its setting even through an extended power loss. I waited 20 minutes before plugging back in, and all my settings remained.

QuestionWill the LED temperature display show the actual inside temperature of the unit or just the intended set point?? Thanks.

- Answer Since it always reads "0", it is the set point. I have a good quality thermometer in the freezer and it does run at 0 F. I've had it for three weeks or so and it seems to run fine. Only issue is that the door seals quite well and is a little difficult to open due to that strong seal. Instructions that came with the freezer are very basic. The display is not active until the door is opened or set point is changed

- Answer I have the same problem - looks like a manufacturing issue - Mine is 1 month old and Insignia sent out a 3rd party service tech and said it is actually a broken hinge. They aren't standing by the warranty. I put a flashlight in mine and closed the door and you can see the light coming out.

QuestionThe Freezer/Refrigerator was delivered today and I found the door is difficult to open due to strong magnetic door seal especially when the freezer inside is very cold. Opening the door may move the whole freezer out of position. Any plan to fix?

- Answer Yes, we have also had this issue. It apparently does not like to be closed, then opened quickly. It usually eases after a minute or so. We bought 2 of these units stationed next to each other in our garage. One functions as a freezer, the other as a refrigerator. The refrigerator one does not have the same opening issue as the freezer one. Maybe the cold creates a suction for the seals that are supposedly designed for garage use.
