• Yes, there are kits out there to convert it to be able to run off of 12 V. It will void your warranty however and we are unable to help you set it up that way.

• try searching with "ac/dc" to find tvs that have this feature built in. Safer and cheaper than using a separate power converter. e.g. tv ac/dc returns several Naxa and Skyworth TVs with this feature.
