For cheaper TVs the sound from these inbuilt speakers may not be too loud or crisp .So,people who are conscious or pretentious about good audio quality buy additional soundbars to enhance audio/listening experience ! simply put- It narrows down to affordability & your priorities.Consider this - an old car or a cheap car has radio & speakers right? many people just listen to it , but few replace it with new speakers & amplifiers to enhance audio quality ! ( but the car still remains as a basic car :D)
