Where's your hard drive located? Is it internally in a computer? If that's the case, you can simply use the Insignia Drive Docking Station to back up your HD to a SSD plugged into it. Then you could install your SSD in the computer as a main drive. Or . . some computers might allow you to boot from the SSD in the Insignia dock - I don't think that's possible on a Mac, unsure about various PCs and OS.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. You can plug both drives into the bays, then (I'm guessing you are using a windows computer) find the user profile and copy everything inside the individual folders (documents, pictures exe) into the folders of your new SSD. Just make sure to have the OS setup on the SSD before you being so that it will create new user folders for you to place your data into.

The HDD will simply plug into the docking station and connect to the PC via USB or SATA cable. You cannot transfer software easily as the registry entries need to be recreated. If you had taken an image backup of your HDD then it would be easy, but I suspect you didn't do that.
