Questionwhat is the difference between Cat-5e and Cat-6 cables

- Answer the difference is speed. cat 5e has a max speed of 1 gigabit and cat 6 has a max speed of 10 gigabit. cat 6 only has that speed for up to about 160' over that and its only as fast as cat 5e

QuestionCan this ethernet cable connect my ATT internet modem to my streaming player?I have wireless ATT internet but when connected to the UTV top box player, it keeps buffering and I can't see the video. UTV box customer service suggested connecting ethernet cable directly from the ATT internet router to the UTB streaming player. Thanks for your help.

- Answer I have no idea. I was told that a Cat5 Ethernet cable is what I needed to work from home. Hooked to my cable router, passes through a couple rooms, and it runs my work computer as fast if not faster than at the office.
