If this belt becomes broken or badly connected, it can rub against other components, creating friction and a burning smell. Frequently, washing machines don't spin when the drive belt is broken. QuestionDo u need to put clothes in to do the Test spin? And does it make a GRRR sound during the wash cycle? Doesn't feel like it's agitating like the old kind? Seems to be doing the xtra rinse tho I didn't put it on nor do I see it lit up? So many hassles!

- Answer Very automated; I hope you got it leveled - very heavy. It agitates in a modern way; the drum is suspended from the top and floats in the water. Not attached to the sides. The machine decides. The machine knows the water level, and water temperature, and the Soak is for towels. It cleans very well. The machine will know when it needs an Extra Rinse. Note: Tap cold is hot and cold mixed. My hot water is turned up for Winter, so Tap Cold was nice and warm for Colors and Quick Wash.

- Answer Hi there! Soak is an automatic part of the cycles but is rather short and cannot be manually controlled. The only cycle that has an extended soak option is Towels and is only a little longer. Insignia Support Angela www.insigniaproducts.com/support

- Answer You can change the Water Level by unlocking the lid. Make sure you do not change the Wash setting. If you chose Delicate washer choses Warm. Washer measures Small; leave it on Delicate. Change to Medium, let the water fill, and add clothes. This won't work if you change the Wash setting.

- Answer It comes with drain hose, depending on the age of old fill lines, would recommend you replace those with new washer install. It does come with two rubber washers with screens for fill hoses on the washer end.
