“Geek Squad agent said we need an ethernet cable for stable connection, for my Brother HL 2200DW wireless printer. We have lost connectivity twice in the last 2 weeks. SPECIFICALLY what do I need, distance required to router is 3 feet or less.?”

I have the same issues. I ended up just hard-wiring everything. USB cable plugged into my desktop and just go from there. If you are printing from laptop/tablet/ or phone wirelessly then purchase a 4 foot cat 6 cable and go from router to printer

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Cat-5 cables are pretty basic if you have tried a new cable and you are still losing connectivity there maybe other problems. Not sure if you have tried this but if possible connect the printer directly to the router to see if the connectivity becomes more stable. If there are still problems then it may be with the printer itself. .
