Q: QuestionI bouht this because it advertises as being HDCP compatible. I try to load prime video via a iphone lightning cable to hdmi adapter and it says not connected to hdcp compatible device. Do i need to return this useless piece of junk and buy a smart tv?

But I can tell you that this device will give you the ability to take multiple inputs/sources, select each source (one at a time) and send the signal to ONE display (monitor, projector, etc}. If you want to send the selected source to more than one display at a time, you'll need a second device, a splitter, downstream from the switcher to send the signal through its multiple outputs to each individual display.

Q: QuestionI bought an insignia switch years ago for my new tv. It works fine. I bought a second switch for my older Sony tv upstairs. The switch is not working. Does it not work on older televisions? It is hooked up the exact same way. I am a bit frustrated.

• A:Answer I can't say for certain, but I would speculate the issue is that your upstairs setup is using 1, or more incompatible hdmi signals. There are more than only 1 type. As a suggestion, make sure your upstairs setup is using hdmi 2.0 cables in all of your connections for that tv setup. Also, you may very well have the proper cables, but simply damaged cables, causing the issue. This particular product can handle the hdmi 2.0 standard. Maybe your upstairs set uses the higher 2.1 standards?
