- Answer Yes. I have used this cable, attaching a Dell XPS 13 Running W8.1 to a D3100 Dock. It ran 3 HD Monitors, KB, Mouse and an External drive. It's a cable. It works.

- Answer no, this is for usb hub, it is not for printer. the printer usually use usb 2.0 cable, and connection is different.

- Answer It may physically fit but the hard drive would have to be formatted to interface with the Dish receiver and have whatever programpreinstalled ahead of time. So yes it's possible.
