A:AnswerOne can manually enter the channel number but it will hold only if the channel signal strength is above a threshold set by the tv. If the signal strength is below the threshold, it will revert to the last viewed channel in the scanned list. If the signal strength is above the threshold, the manually entered channel will be added to the scanned list. One can select / unselect channels from the scanned list by pressing MENU on remote and selecting CHANNELS on the Screen and then moving down the displayed list to Add/ Remove channels. The same menu has a Signal Strength selection but it is deactivated.
