You need to hook up an antenna (not included) to watch free over-the-air broadcasts from local channels. Then go to Settings > Live TV > Channel Scan. For product support, please visit https://www.insigniaproducts.com/email-us

That threw me for a loop as well. Click on the icon on your remote that look like a little tv. The icon is a little box with two antennas on it.
