You will transfer at 2.0.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.USB 3.0 is typically backwards compatible. This makes it flexible, allowing you to connect to older or newer computers, drives & other devices. For example, many of the newer large capacity external drives & thumb drives are usb 3, which can be connected to your USB 2.0 pc. The data transfer rate automatically slows for USB 2.0 target device, based on standards for 2.0. USB 2.0 standard offers a theoretical max signaling rate of 480 megabits per second, while USB 3.0 is a max rate of close to 5 gigabits per second. In other words, USB 3.0 is theoretically more than ten times faster than USB 2.0. So it does not hurt to use a USB 3 connection, plus you'll have this in case you upgrade to newer computer down the road. Hope this helps.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I don't think you will benefit. I believe the bottom line is that you pc has to have 3.0 to benefit.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.it would transfer at 2.0 because the pc has usb 2.0 only
