This is not a WiFi dongle, therefore the Insignia USB 3.0 Travel Hub has NO ability to connect to the Internet by itself. If, however, your "Android box" has the capability to connect to the Internet via the router, and all you want to do is to add more USB ports to the Android box, then this hub will allow you to connect up to four devices to the Android box, one of which could be the connection to the router. If your "Android box" is an older model, and does not have USB 3.0 capability, this might be overkill for the application. You might be better served by purchasing a USB 2.0 model.
