• My TV stand is 30" wide and it just fits. I need a larger stand for this. Legs are almost 30" wide

• The width of the feet is 30 inches. From the foot to the edge of the TV is 4 inches

• If you check the specification tab you'll see the width of the screen. It's not the same as the screen size. Insignia™ - 40" Class (40" Diag.) - LED - 1080p - Smart - HDTV Roku TV - Black Model: NS-40DR420NA16 SKU: 4204502 Dimension: Width -- 36.4 inches I had the same concern when deciding whether to get a 32 inch screen or the 40 inch screen.
