• I checked the manual for the Insignia chest freezer 5.o cu ft. It did not specify temperature; the control switch goes from Min to Max. I have mine set half way in between & food is frozen solid. Maybe you could check Insignia website? www.insigniaproducts.com & look up model # and see if it specifies the temperature range.
