OK the temp control has a "min" and "max". Does that mean when it is set on "max" that it will be maximum cooling or maximum (higher) temp? null

Min is still frozen.  Imagine it like this.  Min is 28°f and max is -28°f.  Ours is set in middle and is about -10°f.  Without a thermometer in it at all times cant say exactly.
