Try using an outlet that is not a GFCI or AFCI circuit. GFCI detect ground faults and some appliances naturally leak a little to ground which is normal, AFCI detect arc faults and can falsely trip when connected to some devices with motors. If you still have an issue after using a dedicated non GFCI/AFCI outlet then there may be a problem with the unit. The power consumption on this unit is pretty low and any standard 15A circuit should be sufficient to handle it even if other smaller loads are connected.
