• Set the thermostat to OFF to defrost freezer, wait for about 1 hour, then use ice shovel to clean the ice.

• You turn it off unplug it from the socket.and there’s a stopper near the bottom.r unplug that and it can drain...Oh yeah make sure freezer is empty before starting the process..Hope this helps..
