When I picked the freezer to take it home, it was placed in the back of my pick-up, it was laid on its back. It transported fine and have no problems with it.

Transporting it flat can cause the compressor oil to flow into the cooling lines, which might damage the unit or affect its performance. If you must transport it flat, make sure to let it stand upright for at least 24 hours before plugging it in. This allows the oil to settle back into the compressor.
