A:AnswerYou can but you need a minimum of 6 inches around all sides for air flow. It’s fine in a garage but you should not put it in the sunlight or anywhere it can get wet. If it’s in a hot hot area you will probably have to defrost it often and it won’t be as energy efficient. You can look at all the specs online at Best Buy website. Drill down to review the specs.
A:AnswerRead the instructions first! Before plugging in let it sit in place for 3 hours-because you never know if the delivery team tipped it when taking off the truck. Then check your 3 prong outlet to make sure it’s working (I use a plug in fan to check). Also make sure you don’t have a light switch that can turn that outlet on/off -if you do that could be your problem. Then put the off/cold/colder/coldest knob to the cold position-then plug it in. Wait 5 minutes….if the blue light at the dial dies not come on you may have a problem and need to do a return exchange. Again, read the directions do you understand what happens when you force the unit off/on and how it resets. I absolutely love mine!
