Depends how much beer and how often you drink depends on how long the CO2 tank will last. They last pretty long though, I get 3-4 kegs on one tank. When it's empty, go get it re-filled. It does come empty so you'll have to get it filled anyway before you tap a keg. They can be filled usually at a welding supply store.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. The tank comes empty so when you receive it you will need to either find a place that will refill them (I use a local ice distributor) or a place that will do exchanges (local homebrew shop, welding supply shop, etc.)
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Don't come filled. Have to find a hardware store or a place by you to fill it up. By me it cost about 8 dollars to fill.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. The CO2 tank comes empty and must be filled before first use. Most cities have places that will either fill or swap tanks. Medical supply companies like Norco offer this service. Also, you can ask your local beer distributor where they recommend, or ask your favorite bar who provides their CO2. As far as how long they last, that's determined by how frequently you use it and whether or not you remember to close the tank when the beer runs dry, between kegs. I am currently on my 1st tank and 3rd keg. It cost me $30 for the gas.
