Lack of handle can be a nuisance since to open you have to hold the top with one hand (there's like a little slit for people to grab) and pull the door while you sort of push the fridge/freezer part with the other hand. It is sometimes dificult to open when the suction is extremely tight. I hope this helps. Basically, opening takes two hands and a push pull motion.

Garage Ready Upright Convertible Freezer features a recessed handle design, which means there’s no protruding handle. Instead, you open the door by gripping a built-in groove or indentation, usually located along the side or top edge of the door. This design gives it a cleaner, more modern look and helps save space—especially useful in tight areas like garages or utility rooms.
