QuestionThe outside lid of the freezer feels cool to the touch, like it’s not sufficiently insulated and cool air is escaping. I put a folded moving blanket to only cover the lid (does not cover sides etc) and can really feel how much cold is trapped is that ok?

QuestionIf one takes out all shelves, what is the inside height of the larger compartment? I need to fit a 36 heigh by 14 wide large beer fermenter in this.

- Answer 42" height 16" wide the depth "appears" to be right at 14" and the door will give you no wiggle room. It is a freezer and definitely not the ideal temperature for beer fermentation. Good luck with your brew.

- Answer Yes it is. If you have an electrical outlet all ready installed. Just plug it in and level it. Leveling foot on the bottom of the freezer.

QuestionI’ve had this freezer since April. Meat stays frozen solid but ice cream won’t stay frozen. It gets super soft in this freezer. Any suggestions how to fix this? Insignia was not helpful.

QuestionJust got this. Every time I open it then close it, I hear air coming out of the rubber between the door and freezer. Almost like it’s pressurizing or something. Only for about 10 seconds. Is this normal?

- Answer Well, mine does it to. If you notice when you close the door you cannot open it up again for about a 2 minute period. My mothers freezer, a large Frigidaire did the same thing. I think it is normal for most freezers to re-pressurize like that when you have had it open and then close the door.
