• Yes. It is basically the same thing. We use it as an Instant Pot and look up all their recipes. You may have to tweak some of the cook times.

• "Instant Pot" is the name brand of the competitor to this "instant pot," multi function pressure cookers are usually called an "instant pot" by everyone, yes this is an "instant pot" but not the name brand version. This is virtually identical to the name brand at a much more affordable price.
