“How can you make the Slider work to open up the different plug configurations?? I bought this product at Best Buy and returned it. The staff as well as myself could not slide the levers so the different plugs would extend outward. The slider should slide easily so one can extend the different plugs. Is there something wrong with this device? Are you suppose to put some weight on the slider to make it slide. Is this product appropriate to charge up my Samsung Galaxy S5 phone. If not, please recommend another product by Insignia.”

You don't need a special adapter to charge your phone. Just the usb cable it came with and a USB port. If you are unsure if which wall plug adapter you need for the country you are visiting, then buy a usb wall charger when you get to that country.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.The key is to have the product start with no plugs extended, then slide the country / region indicator to the location where you intend to use it. This unlocks the appropriate plug so that you can extend it. If they are not at rest to start with, i.e. if one is partially out, the operation will fail to open any of them. Hope that helps.

Provided none of the plugs are out, you should be able to slide the one your needing out quite easily. And for the second part of the question, This should be completely adequate for Cell phone charging.
